Yeah – I know, you’re probably wondering what Annie is doing in the Mojave Desert… as of today, getting sick because I forgot to drink enough water and am not used to the heat. I’m doing better now, and tomorrow I begin the trip south with my teenage son traveling companion. We’re making a stop outside of Phoenix to pick up eggs from a big name NPIP Certified breeder, and bringing them home to enrich the bloodlines that we have, while on the homefront Gary has finished a chicken coop and started building yet another quail cage.
It’s my hope that we can get our NPIP status in October, and while I’ve been incubating eggs and selling eggs locally for eating and hatching, we’ll be able to ship across state lines in the future.
