Our Quail eggs average 13 grams in weight – so they are a bit more nutritionally dense than this USDA chart shows.

Nutritionally better for you than chicken eggs, and with processes and procedures approved by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, these Quail eggs come from our suburban homestead in Shiloh Illinois from happy birds.

We attempt to keep our breeding ratios to 5-6 hens to one roo, with carefully curated lines of birds that are independent of each other, not overbred nor stressed, and are particular about biosecurity, food safety, and quality of life of our little birds.

By doing this we are ensuring fertility for those who wish to incubate the eggs, without overbreeding and overstressing our hens.

Are fertile eggs edible?
Absolutely!
They don’t start developing into chicks until they are kept at high enough temperatures, and these are so fresh they’ve not begun to develop and are kept below incubation temperatures.
